Market Share Analysis

Market Share Analysis is a function of crmSeries, allowing your heavy equipment sales rep to align sales quotes with formatted Manufacturer UCC data. NOTE: The formatted UCC data should be supplied by the equipment manufacturer.

Enable Market Share

Enabling the crmSeries Market Share feature allows your heavy equipment sales reps to access the crmSeries Market Share functions. To enable the crmSeries Market Share function follow the steps below.

  1. From System, Admin, select General, Enable Options.
  2. Select the Market Share Tracking DISABLED button. This will Enable Marker Share Tracking. 
  3. At the prompt select the YES button.
Market Share Admin

Under the crmSeries System Admin, Opportunity, Market Share, menu there are options available for managing market share data and setting user mapping groups.

Market Share Data

Under the Market Share Data Option, the crmSeries Administrator has the ability to filter by Manufacturer and Month / Year.

Additional Market Share Data Options
  • Update Records – Provides the ability to reassign a rep to market share data. NOTE: First filter the market share data list for the records requiring updating. Each market share data column can be filtered by selecting the filter icon at the right of each column. The updates will apply to all records in the filtered list.
  • Import Data – allows a crmSeries administrator to import formatted UCC data.
  • Export to Excel – Export the market share data list to Microsoft Excel format.
User Mapping

Provides the ability to create user groups available for assigning to market share data.

Add New Mapping

From the Market Share User Mapping form select the Add button at the upper left.

Complete the Mapping information and select the SAVE button.

  • Data Salesman – Enter the Salesman information to appear when aligning sales quotes to market share data.
  • Manufacturer – Select manufacturer from the available list.
  • User(s) – Select one or more crmSeries users from the available list.

Market Share Menu

The available Market Share options are accessed by selecting My Business, Market Share. NOTE: If you do not have the Market Share menu option, follow the instructions to Enable crmSeries Market Share.

Dashboard

The Market Share Dashboard provides an overview of the current market share data.

Dashboard by Rep
  • Manufacturer – Select the manufacturer associated with the Market Share Data
  • Option – Salesman Details
  • Month / Year – Select the market share timeframe

Dashboard by Branch
  • Manufacturer – Select the manufacturer associated with the Market Share Data
  • Option – Branch Summary
  • Month / Year – Select the market share timeframe

Data Matching

Data Matching displays the market share data and the available sales quotes for a given time period.

  • Manufacturer – select the manufacturer market share data to view.
  • Rep – Select to list the available sales quotes for the rep selected.
  • Month / Year – Filters the market share data by the selected timeframe.
Matching Market Share Data to a crmSeries Quote
  1.  Select a row from the market share data to link to a crmSeries sales quote.
  2. Select the LINK option from the available crmSeries quotes to match with the market share rows selected.
  3. From the Match Opportunity with Sales Data prompt, enter any comments and select the MATCH button.

Unlinking Market Share

To disassociate or unlink a previously linked market share, follow the steps below.

  1. Select the triangle to the left of the market share row to unlink. A list of currently linked crmSeries sales quotes to the market share row will be displayed.

  2. Select the UNLINK option. At the prompt, select Yes.
