Business Plan

The crmSeries Business Plan is designed to help understand and attain revenue profitability for the larger customers of your equipment dealer.

Business Plan Dashboard

The crmSeries Business Plan Dashboard organizes all open Business Plans.

  1. Select My Business, My Business Plans.
  2. Select the link under the Business Plan Title to open the Business Plan.

Assigning a Business Plan to a customer or prospect.

  1. Search for the customer or prospect that the crmSeries Business plan should be assigned.
  2. On the customer record, select Add New, Business Plan. NOTE: If you do not see the Business Plan option, you do not have the user right to add Business plans. Ask your crmSeries System Administrator for the right to add Business Plans.
  3. At the Create Business Plan prompt enter the Business Plan information.
    1. Select a Plan – Select a Business Plan from the available plan list.
    2. Enter Revenue Goals
      1. Equipment
      2. Parts
      3. Services
    3. Description – The Description of the Business Plan will auto populate from the plan selected.
    4. Plan Start Date – Select the start date for the Business Plan.
  4. Select Plan Setup Save button.
  5. From the list of Business Plan Steps, select the steps to apply to the customer or prospect. NOTE: Selecting the top checkbox will select all plan steps.
  6. Select Plan Steps Save button.
  7. The Business Plan Overview form will open. Below is a description for each Business Plan Tab.
    1. Details
      1. Plan Title – Title of the Business Plan.
      2. Plan Type – Type of Business Plan.
      3. Service Revenue Goal – Service Revenue Goal for the Business Plan.
      4. Equipment Revenue Goal – Equipment Sales Revenue Goal for the Business Plan.
      5.  Parts Revenue Goal – Pasts Revenue Goal for the Business Plan.
      6. Start Date – Start Date for the Business Plan.
      7. End Date – End Date for the Business Plan.
      8. Related To – Company that the Business Plan is assigned.
      9. Overview – Description of the Business Plan.
    2. Step
      1. Step – Business Plan Step Summary.
      2. Description – Business Plan Step Description.
      3. Recurring Interval – Indicates the number of days for the Recurring Interval.
      4. Recurring Count – Indicates the number of times the Recurring Interval should trigger.
      5. Day After Plan Start – Number of Days after the Plan Starts to Trigger the Step.
      6. Manage – Actions to Edit the Step and Description data.
    3. Task
      1. Pancake Menu – Ability to add a note or complete a task for the row selected.
      2. Step – Plan Step
      3. Subject – Subject of the Plan Task.
      4. Comments – Details for the Plan Task.
      5. Status – Status of the Plan Task.
      6. Due Date – Due Date for the Plan Task.
      7. Complete Date – Date the Plan Task was completed.
      8. Priority – Priority of the Plan Task.
      9. Manage – Icons used to Edit the Plan Task.
    4. Notes
      1. Notes Entered for the Plans.

Add Business Plan Notes

  1. From the Business Plan select Add New, Notes.
  2. From the Open Note Panel Enter the Details of the note.
    1. Note Date – Date of the Note. NOTE: Date will default to today’s date.
    2. Type – Select a Type form the list. NOTE: Additional Note Types can be added under system administration.
    3. Purpose – Select one or more purposed for the note. NOTE: Note Purposes can be added under system administration.
    4. Result – Select one or more Note Results. Note: Note Results can be added under system administration.
    5. Attach File – Select the Browse Button or Drag and Drop one or more files to the note.
    6. Comments – Add note comments.
    7. Schedule Task – Check to schedule a follow up task.
  3. Select the Note Save button.

Completing a Business Plan Task

Tasks can be completed from the crmSeries Schedule, Open Activities List, and from the Business Plan Task tab. Below are the steps to complete a Business Plan Task from the Business Plan Dashboard.

  1. Select My Business, My Business Plans.

  2. Select the link under the Title column to open the Business Plan.

  3. Select the Task Tab.

  4. Select the Pancake Menu, Complete Task for the Task to complete.

  5. Select Yes on the Task Complete prompt.
